Goodbye, My Brother

My brother Andy an awesome guy,
I don't know why you had to die.
You were so cute as a little boy,
You smiled at us and brought us joy.

Even though we had our little fights,
Over silly things like phone lines and wiring lights,
I never wanted to be a pest,
I needed your skills, cause you're the best.

I'm glad those times, were only a few,
It was hard for me to argue with you,
But that's just me, as you are you,
And in the end you always came through.

This is Gretton where you are from,
We all are here with Jim and Mum,
Our hearts are broken, as you know,
We really can't bear to let you go.

Sometimes you were so crazy,
Especially with the friends,
I know that everyone here will agree with me,
That the Gretton Crew is the best there could ever be.

We wish so much that you were here,
Or just down 'The Pub' havin' a beer.
It's happy thoughts that will get us through,
Like all the fun we shared with you.

And now my poem will come to an end,
Until the day we meet again,
I pray that you are now at peace.
Goodbye Andy With Love From Michelle

THE SERENITY PRAYER

God grant me Serenity
to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
and Wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time,
enjoying one moment at a time,
accepting hardship as the pathway to peace.
Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is,
not as I would have it;
trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His will;
that I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him forever in the next.
Amen

HOD

I have made this site as a tribute to my brother Andy, he was a fantastic brother and friend to everyone. When he slipped away a part of me slipped away to. I dont think our lives will ever be the same without him.
Even now a year on i expect him to walk into mums on a sunday lunch where we all met up, mum always looks for him bless her. xx
I just hope i can live my life to the full like Andy did. x

Smiling Eyes

I must say that your brother looked like someone who would always be the life and soul of any party - with his twinkling eyes.
Having read this testimony I see so many similarities with my own life. I lost my dad very quickly to an aggresive brain tumour and understand how hard it is to come to terms with - not just for those left behind, but for the person too, as they know what's coming. Also, I see your own dad died on 11th November, aged 60. Another similarity, as I lost my beloved dad on 11th November, and he was 60 too.
I am sure that both your dad and your brother would not want you to be sad - they are re-united and I am sure that they will be having a ball together. So rather than weep, focus on the great times that you have shared, remember them with a smile - and in time, a laugh.
My thoughts are with you as you face your tomorrows without them - just make sure that you did what your brother did, and live your life to the full.
God bless you, and all of your family.
